Petal
Petal reflects the passing of time as a gentle, rhythmic cycle and reminds us all to take a breath and slow down. The natural grain of the timber is a subtle reflection of our need as humans to connect with nature and stay grounded.
The aesthetic arrangement of the timber and copper is a calm and feminine treatment of two materials more traditionally associated with furniture or fittings. The CNC cut curvature of the clock face frames the grain of the rock maple, serving to accentuate the naturally appealing texture of the timber, while the copper hands offset the earthy tones of the clock face.
Petal has been featured in several exhibitions and magazines, including the Workshopped exhibition and Inside Out magazine. Petal is made locally in Sydney, Australia.
