Strategic + Social Design
I’m currently working as a strategic and social designer at the UTS Design Innovation Research Centre (DI:rc). At DI:rc I use design as a tool to promote positive social change. I am also passionate about seeking to create playful ways to build emotional intelligence and resilience through design. I have experience working with a broad cross-section of organisations including NSW Health, Legal Aid NSW, the Office of Responsible Gambling, Justice NSW, the Australian Defence Force, and internal UTS stakeholders.

This video gives an insight into how we use design to tackle crime and social problems in our community through our long running initiative Designing Out Crime between the University of Technology Sydney and the NSW Department of Justice.
A project worth noting that I have worked on is the Respect.Now.Always. program at UTS. This project is a whole of community campaign for sexual violence prevention at UTS. It focuses on using human-centred design and a participatory approach to create sustainable cultural change. In 2020 our design work on this project was awarded the Good Design Australia Best In Class award in the Social Impact category, an accolade we are incredibly excited by and proud of.
